CONTROL SOFTWARE FEATURES ( SPORT DEVICES models)

The SP5 control system is among the most advanced on the market. An evolved product, continuously updated according to the needs of our customers:

  • Free software updates and downloadable directly from the Sport Devices website.
  • Available test modes: Inertial, constant braking, ramp, road simulation, steady state, driving cycles.
  • It allows compare an unlimited number of curves read from the database, which is assigned a different colour. This makes it possible to evaluate changes and improvements before and after modifications. An automatic pointer measures the difference between the curves along the entire graph in addition to the point measurement for each type of curve displayed.
  • Calculate and display averages between tests or within a specific range.
  • Up to 3 screens in REAL-TIME (PC with dedicated graphics card required).
  • Correction factors: ISO1585, SAEJ1349, DIN70020, JISD1001, EC95-1, EWG 80/ 1269 (Also allows correction of curves according to air-intake temperature, via OBD interface or external probe).
  • Units of measurement for power (Kw,hp), torque (Kg *m, N*m) is user selectable.
  • Configurable estimated gear ratios: Engine caliper, OBDII / xDS / ECU, or estimation based on the vehicle's rev counter.
  • Fully configurable analogue channels, either scale/offset or using an interpolation table.

DATA ACQUISITION
  • The Sport Devices control and acquisition system, offers several channels also under relay, dedicated to data acquisition from lambda, pressure, thermocouple probes; whether analogue or digital, system offers up to 24 channels, expandable with external recorders up to 112 channels.
  • It can handle independently the ventilation systems in the test room, thanks to 4 controlled relays.
  • Up to 16 channels calculated by the user. The function as wheel slip (based on the engine revolution channel).
  • Target lambda correction and energy efficiency (on electric motors) can be automated.
EXECUTABLE TESTS
  • Power Measurements (At the wheel, at the drive shaft, dissipate).
  • Acceleration and Deceleration Test (To assess performance when the vehicle is subjected to external loads).
  • Road simulation (To check vehicle performance, including with diagnostic tools).

For installation purposes, the roller test bench requires:

  • 1 220V power supply
  • 1 400V power supply
  • Pneumatic supply 7 BAR minimum
  • Comes complete with brake power supply panel, which must be connected to the mains supply
  • Maximum absorption of the test bench 7 kW, to which must be added the absorption of the fan and any other consumers
  • An unloading forklift with a minimum load capacity of 2,000 kg is required on delivery.
